Dimitri Shostakovich String Quartet No.7 in f-sharp minor, Op. 108

May Pitchayapa Lueangtawikit - Violin, Yula Kim- Violin, Julia Paleçka - Viola, Juliet Wolff - Violoncello

Composed in February and March 1960 in memory of his first wife Nina Vassilyevna Varzar, who died in December 1954. The work was premiered in Leningrad by the Beethoven Quartet on the 15th of May 1960, and consists of three movements performed without a break:

1: Allegretto, 2: Lento, 3: Allegro — Allegretto —Adagio

Johannes Brahms Quartet Nr. 3 c-minor for Piano, Violin, Viola und Violoncello, op. 60
